Susan Sola, past Business and Economic Development Committee Chair, was recently selected by the Partners of the Americas to participate in the "Building our Capacity for the Future" workshop, held in Quito, Ecuador from March 28-31, 2001. The purpose of the workshop was to provide attendees with recent information and to share experiences about family planning initiatives and programs available to the larger Partners of the Americas volunteer network.
After she finished the conference, Susan took advantage of her presence in South America to travel on to Santiago to meet with our Chilean counterparts, where she renewed many past acquaintances and discussed the status of several ongoing and newly proposed projects.
We expect to share Susan's report on what she learned at the workshop in a future Amigos Americanos newsletter.
